About Me

In case you don’t know me, I’m Anthony DiClementi and I place great importance on energy because there was a time when I had none.

I could sleep 12 hours and still wake up tired. I would misplace my keys and forget people’s names that I had just met. I would read pages in a book and not remember what I had just read.

I felt like I had early onset dementia…

I remember the first day it started. A group of my friends and I planned to go hiking. I’ve always been an outdoors kind of guy… hiking, biking, surfing. You name it and I love to do it.

I woke up that morning and just didn’t feel right. I was tired and a little achy. I called one of my friends in the group and told him I thought I was coming down with a cold and wasn’t going to make it. I was a personal trainer and in great shape at the time, so I figured I just needed a couple days of rest.

That was Saturday. Sunday I felt the same.

I did everything you’re supposed to do when you have a cold, but by Monday I was worse. A week later I was so foggy headed and tired I could barely make it through my client meeting for the week.

I went to two doctors that week who said I likely had some virus. They told me to sleep and it would pass. Two weeks later I wasn’t any better. Heck, I might have been worse.

I slept 12 hours a night and could barely get out of bed. And the brain fog… sometimes I felt like I might forget my own name. After a month of this I knew something was very wrong. I went to see doctor after doctor, and they all said the same thing. They had no idea what the problem was.

And then something happened…

Finally, desperate and disillusioned with the medical system, I started my own research. After months of scouring the internet and the library, sorting the information from the bullshit, and finding every possible cause of my problem, I had a diagnosis.

I took that diagnosis and ran with it…

It was a self-diagnosis, but it was better than the doctors had done to that point. There was no test to confirm my diagnosis, so I had to test it for myself. I made radical dietary and lifestyle changes. Within a few days, I was starting to feel better.

I never thought I would say it, but…

Thanks to Lyme Disease, for almost two years I felt like a shadow of myself. It wasn’t until I had my health stripped from me that I came to realize the irreplaceable role energy plays in our lives.
